How about this lens Orio ?

It's a nice lens for portraits - low contrast, it reminds me of the Nikkor-Q 3.5/135 because of this - but Nikkor-Q is sharper wide open.
I shot this portrait of my woman in a backlight situation and the low contrast of the lens helped me save the photo:

It's not however a Helios or a Jupiter - not the champion in its class. I think it has a used value that is too high compared to the value of the lens. Jupiter-9 is sold for less, but it's a better lens (except for bokeh).

I see. Thanks you described as well the lens characteristic as can I see on sample. I read somewhere , somebody compared to Nikon Series E 100mm.

I'm not sure this makes much sense - the Nikkor Series E is a cheap single coating version of the same old Sonnar scheme used in many lenses. I don't think that the Russians copied a cheap lens - it is more likely that the Kaleinar is perhaps a copy of the same original Sonnar scheme the Nikon series E is also a copy of.

The Kaleinar 150mm f/2.8 for Pentacon is a very interesting glass, instead...

I don't know much. Only that it looks like a gorgeous piece of glass. It's one of the sexiest lenses that I ever saw. I would bid on one if there was one available in the EU, but so far, I saw it only in auction by Ukraine or Russia based sellers.

I've also read that somewhere. I have (one of?) Orio's copies of the Kaleinar 2.8/100 and I agree it is a very nice lens.

I had only one copy. What you have now is the same lens that took the portrait above.
