I only have a cheap unbranded focal reducer (believed to be made by RJ)
IMO It doesn't degrade IQ indeed I would say it generally actually improves it.

Remember that the optics of speedbooster adapters cause them to be physically shorter than their empty tube counterparts (this is indicated in the original white paper), and compare their sizes to those of the Pen F adapter.

I even have one here ...




As you may see there's some separation of a doublet in the front element. The lens is surprisingly small, compared to typical later full frame 3.5-4.5/35-105mm or 3.5/4.5/28-85mm lenses (let alone the 3.5/35-105mm lenses ...). It beautifully machined, and its tiny engravings are just sheer perfection, similar to 1950-1960 Leica engravings.

The lens seems to be pretty rare here in Switzerland. I have seen it only once once during the last 20 years, and that's when I bought it.
