Very nicely done and a very sharp lens.
How did you attach it to the bellows Igor?
I had to have an adapter made for my RB lenses.

You can screw optical block into T2-something adapter and then to the bellows. Aperture and shutter is behind last optical element in this lens and optical block can be extracted from front without touching internal mechanisms of the lens. |

haha - thought that you would say that.
No, it was a one off made by a mate of mine to an idea that I had for using RB67 lenses.
I had to play with the register distance and by trial and error arrived at the setup that I now use.
You can buy an adapter with built in focusing helicoid from Fotodiox

I know - that's why I designed my own.
Dave is making a tripod collar to go around the section adjacent the M42 screw - a work in progress ATM
I have been playing with the Mamiya-Sekor 4.5/250 lately, but it is a bazooka on the camera.
I have to sit it on a bean bag for support

I took the optical block out of one of these Mamiya 4.5/180s and mounted it in a Copal #1 shutter for use on my 6x9 Speed Graphic. Excellent lens. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Yes - a real beast.
Very awkward to use at present.
I will start a thread for it and post some images

Hello,
I actually thought about trying the Fotodiox adapter for my RZ67 lenses, as I have an RZ67 Pro II system.
However, as far as I am aware, from reading, only a portion of the image circle is used, the center portion.
Normally, this is highly desirable for the "standard" RZ67 lenses, and would work great with my RZ67 100/2.8.
Though, I don't think it would work so good for the RZ67 180/4 soft focus lens, which I really like also.
So, I am still unsure if I will get the adapter, or not...
Though, I am definitely not lacking in the soft lens choices just because of this, I have too many to pick from now.
Dunno really why I continue to buy different soft focus lens, but I do.
Shrug. |
