This is from Padang (literally means field or open filed) in Singapore, located in front of City Hall.
The road between the Padang and the City Hall (you see a car there in the picture) is F1 track during F1 Night Race in Singapore (24-26 Sept 2010)

Very good, the sort of shot you can spend a long time looking at it...frozen in time and fascinating for someone to see in e.g. 100 years time.

Shots of downtown Sarasota Florida Main street. They are putting in a round about at the intersection of 3 streets. Should be finished in a few months. Pictures taken with a Canon 300d and a Sears 24mm 2.8

Here is one to make dull your day: morning shot on Allison-Bonnet Parkway, the busiest street in Hueytown, Alabama, the town closest to us and the town where we do most of our shopping. There is not a single building of architectural or cultural interest. You might notice the Walgreens sign in the upper left. That is where I was parked to drop off some film. The town is only about 60 years old.

FE2, E35/2.5, Ferrania 400:

Here is a shot looking down on the tin roof of one of the cabins at the fish camp, shot from the little road entering the camp. FE2, E35/2.5, Ferrania 400:

This is Black Creek Road - the main "street" - at the fish camp. Our place is hidden by that cabin on the far left. FE2, Soligor C/D 28-55/3.3, set on 28mm, f5.6, BW400CN:

And one more showing the main "square" of the fish camp. FE2, E35/2.5, BW400CN:

Hmm. I don't know what exactly is the main square of my city!

The most important structure, of course, is Fenway Stadium:

One of the most recognizable buildings is the Prudential building you see to the right of this. The building in the foreground is the Christian Science Center:

Hasselblad SWC/M (Biogon 38/4.5)

I guess if you had to choose a "center" of the city, it would have to be the Boston Commons and the Boston Public Gardens:

Our main square President Kennedyplein, an abandoned parking.

Designed in the sixties, with expections about the increasing number of cars, but no idea about the disappearing interest for visiting the two nearby churches. So the parking is only once a year five days in use for the local carnival. With such square we honour an American president!
Five shots with Kenlock-Mc.tor 28mm 2.8

Well guys, as I wrote, if you don't have a main square, show us your main street!
