I have a reversing ring on its way from a merchant on eBay.

That said, I remember in a past thread I asked about Macro options . . .
http://forum.mflenses.com/options-for-macro-t7050.html
And reversing rings were advised by some folk.

That said are there any good links dealing with how to perform this technique?

Thanks in advance!

Jim

From memory on a standard 50mm you'll get roughly 1:2

Like you, I bought a reverse ring and tried a few times.
Personally I don't like it and prefer macro lenses for macro photos.

Reverse lens macro has very shallow DoF. The magnification increases as FL of the lens decreases. I quicly shot a couple of shots for comparison of magnification. Only reduced the pics. My monitor is 19" set at 1280 x 1040 pixels.

35mm Distagon

50mm Pancolar
