I am thinking of trying macro stacking. I do take a lot of macro photos and would like to improve my images and I understand you can get some compelling images with the technique. I am an amateur and don't really want to spend a bunch of money on software but I see some things offered as "free". Anybody got recommendations for software that is inexpensive and easy to use?

Rik Littlefield's ZERENE stacker is the best for me!
https://www.zerenesystems.com/ it costs a mere $89 worth every cent!
Rik also owns and moderates the forum photomacrography.net
Here a heavy user about it, whom I directed to it:

Is there a free program for those that want to try before spending money on something that's not going to end up being used.
