Now I can scan medium format films I've loaded a few shots from my first medium format camera, the cheap and chearful Lubitel 166U TLR

The Lubitel lens isn't sharp, focus is difficult because the waist level finder is pretty murky and they're also prone to light leaks (I tape up the back of mine when a film is loaded) however they're dirt cheap and there is a certain character to the results which I find pleasant.

Nice set, Steve, my faves are 2 and 3, nice and contrasty images. I've
been thinking about getting a Holga (the model with the plastic lens) as
I've seen some impressive galleries, but I don't seem to have enough
time to shoot film through the cameras I have. Rolling Eyes And the days are shorter
since we're off daylight saving time for shooting outside pics.

I can't remember what site I was on, but seems like the Lubitel has
quite a cult following much like the Holga crowd.

Thanks for sharing these!

Bill

I had one a few years back and your results are far better than anything I achieved. I think after four partially fogged films I gave up - you're not wrong about light leaks!

I particularly like the second shot - it has a nice 3D quality.

Fortunately I'd read about the light leaks so loaded film in dim lighting conditions and then applied electrical tape around the film loading doors. That restricted the fogging to just a tiny bit at the edges of the frames and it's not really noticeable.

I also have a Horizon 202 panoramic camera at the time and it was another that was known for light leak problems and benifited from taping up.
