Hi Naplam, in which area are you located?. Maybe near Barcelona?
I've just received another FX70 Quartz and maybe we could share experiences...

Hi Jes, I'm in Madrid, so a bit far apart. But we can still share our experiences I'm waiting to develop a couple of rolls taken today. So far I've had a couple of problems with the camera:
- The mirror had been replaced or something because it hit the zeiss planar and sometimes even the yashica ml 50mm (it would take the photo then lock as it was going back down). Drastic solution: i bought a glass cutter at the hardware store and trimmed the mirror to fit the metal frame holding it. Now it doesn't collide any more, but i screwed up near the right side and broke a small part of the mirror. The image through the viewfinder is ok though so it's alright
- The exposure is 3 stops over (i have to set iso 800 for iso 100 film, and i can't use iso 400 film at all -the camera came set to iso 800 now i know why...). I have overexposed the first roll but i've set iso 800 for the second one. I noticed what seemed to be excessive exposure times at home with not too much light so I checked with my 400D and found out the meter was wrong on the fx70.
I've complained to the seller but he hasn't answered yet. Maybe he's the kind of guy that needs a negative to answer... let's hope not.
PD: of course, the photo counter is not working but that was expected, many yashicas have that problem. _________________ Gear: Canon EOS 400D, Yashica FX-70, Contax 139Q, Canon EF-M,
