I was using my daughter's SP1000 in the early morning, cloudy and threatening rain... when I discovered the meter wouldn't meter. I had to estimate, and understanding my psychology I added another stop, and things turned out to be well exposed. Shooting vintage cameras does come in handy: you learn to read light.
