I was lucky enough to attend a studio lighting workshop this week.

I dragged my SD14 along, but when i found out we would be shooting at 1/160 f9, i realised that i was going to have problems even seeing the models!

Luckily the studio owner loaned me his 1DS MKIII and an 85/1.2L. Before entering the dark side, i fitted my 35-70 Vario using a happypagehk optix adapter and took a couple of shots.

I missed focus on quite a few, but this one, i liked.

As a side note, the AF 85mm Canon did impress me....

Beautiful! (in many ways). Nice, pleasing colours and great light.

Thank you for sharing.

The photo is beautiful, but there is too much of frame work going on in my opinion, it distracts from the model.

Thanks Jakob & Orio,

Sorry about the frames, it is just something i do for all the pics i host on the www.

Here it is without the inner borders.

The lovely Alice.

I have just started a thread in the AF section where i used the canon 85, there will be a couple more B&W added to that set.

It was absolutely freezing during the shoot. You would never know looking at her, a beautiful model.

Wait until you see the Natasha images WOW... coming soon Very Happy

U did a good job, its a pity the make up is poor. You should make her skin all nice and smooth in PS, it wouid look much better then.

Hi Vulko,

Thanks for the comment, i must disagree on the make up though, i suppose it is because i don't like the way skin these days is over processed in portraits.

Great shot! Was the photo taken with only one square softbox placed in front of the model?

Yup spot on.

Thanks for the comments.

rpo83, agree. It just depends on, what you shoot for. If this lady wants a portrait, where she is looking all nice, smooth and pretty... or if you shoot for some glamour magazine.
