I am not familiar with Leica lenses. If a lens mount is Leicaflex, by searching the internet,
I found (1) it can be used for Leica R cameras; and (2) this also means I can buy a Leica
R to Nex adapter for a Sony E mount camera. Can Leica users please confirm? Thanks
very much!!

Here's a good overview of Leica-lenses (and more)
https://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/Main_Page

For Leica-R-lenses:
https://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/R_Lenses_x_Focal_Length

If you find a certain lens, you can check with the serial number what exact generation it is.

For Leica r: You can add ~1985 sigma lenses which were available in leica r mount (before leica forbids sigma to sell lenses in that mount)
Usual quality of sigma lenses of that time is not on par with leica lenses but you will find
some lenses with good iq (ie : 21/35mm zoom)
somes lenses with not so good iq BUT interesting specs you cannot find in leica catalog (ie : 135mm 1.Cool

For Leica M : Do not forget old soligor lenses in m mount (+ the newer lenses in M mount as 7 artisans 50mm 1.1 ....)

Thanks. I do have Sigma 21-35mm zoom in Nikon mount, quite cute lens. Haven't tested it yet.
Old soligor lenses in m mount are very expensive and very rare to find.

You are welcome : They are two versions of sigma 21/35 .. The first is two-touch / the second is one-touch
I imagine that only first version was available in r mount

I'll need to dig out my Nikon mount one and do a test.
