I bought this as well. At first I wasn't too impressed since it's not very conveniently organised, but mere hours after downloading it I used it to find out about an old Minolta lens someone was asking about and there was more info in the Vade Mecum that I would have expected. So, worth the price, I think.

Exactly , need better organization, but due low income and lot of work I think it will remain as a dream.

As a printed copy, it would be a total pita to look things up in, but word search changes all that. So far, I haven't found it to be all that bad. Quirky perhaps, but quite accessible.

The Lenses of Farside

-

Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear - kept us in a continuous stampede of pseudo patriotic fervor - with the cries of grave national emergency. always there has been some terrible evil to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it by furnishing the exorbitant funds demanded. Yet, in retrospect, these disasters seem never to have happened, seem never to have been quite real. - General Douglas McArthur

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence, clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L.Mencken

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.
Herman Goering at the Nuremberg Trial
