Yes a raster scan approach. The device in a printer that moves the head back and forth used in 2 orientation to move the camera from side to side and up and down to cover the 4 x 5 area of eg a sinar p3, .

I sort of did a reverse of this, a 5x4 film camera that used regular Nikon F lenses via an enlarging lens. Some of you guys helped me to calculate the aperture many years ago.
