Nikkor 25-50mm f4 AIS on a Nikon D600. It's a big lens for its focal length and does well for this sort of landscape shot.

Very nice sun flare.

What was the lens aperture ? f16, f22 ?
Did you use a ND filter ?

Hi there: the aperture was f16, and I didn't use an N D filter. The trees served as an effective filter. I was surprised at how brightly the sun star came out through the branches.

Here is a photo I took recently for a contest held by the tourism center of the city.

It's Samyang TS 24mm f/3.5, maybe 3 or 4 stops down, on 6D, ISO400, pp in Photoshop

That's a fine Sunset shot.
I regret one thing : the main subject is full centered.

PostPosted: Mon Dec 08, 2014 8:47 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

I'm disagree, it is perfectly balanced.

I'm with Olivier on this . I suggest this variant according with the rules of composition

Thank you for the constructive criticism Smile

Yes, in hindsight, it probably would have been stronger off-centre.

This one won't be to everyone's taste Very Happy in fact, I'm having second thoughts about the HDR myself.

I agree, centering the subject made the left part of the frame irrelevant - but it's a nice sunset indeed,

Renato

Be sure it was constructive, Alex.
I hope It wasn't considered as rude.

I would have liked the man to be on the left side, walking to the sun.
