OK, my first post here but just wanted to share the excitement.
I have just won a Kowa 2.8/50 enlarging lens which is of course the same as a Computar DL.
Can't wait to get it and start printing with it.
These lenses come with a great reputation.

I didn't know about these lenses before and it seems they are quite obscure? They must have been very expensive and highly coveted by their owners - they claim to exceed their theoretical maximum performance requirements by 15%!

Yes, they are difficult to find and have a good reputation.
There was a full range of focal lengths made under the Kowa and Computar DL brand names, but they don't come along very often. I got lucky with this one.

Congrats, gotten rare indeed!

My friend Marco Cavina has quite a few (and so do I) and has done some research about them (scoll down...):

My Computar lenses may be seen on my site: http://macrolenses.de/objektive.php?lang Scroll down or search via CNTRL-F for "Computar"

Let us know how you get on with it - they are superb, and it's rare to find one without balsam separation. Is yours in good health?
