Yes compared to the 28mm F3.5 the thing is a beast.
Taken with the 28mm F3.5:

I am "selling" it but priced it in a way to make it clear I dun wanna let it go.
Unfortunately the potential value in it keeps me from using it daily as a walk-around lens.
I have enjoyed most of the Hexanon line-up, particularly the 200mm F3.5:

At least the marketing concept isn't bad to look for a buyer of a 1.200 $ lens: http://forum.mflenses.com/konica-uc-hexanon-ar-28mm-f1-8-t72604.html
For sure it's a collector's item.
However, I'll stay with my CV Ultron 28/1.9 RF lens for many reasons. _________________ Thomas Bernardy

Surprised it went that high maybe because of the box...
There is another one with a much lower BIN with no mentioning of any issues and yet it is not selling

I will certainly keep you in mind. This one caught me completely by surprise. I've seen a lot of countries excluded from Ebay listings but never, before this, the US. _________________ Steve

Hello, I'm new here. I collect and I use old lenses. Especially Konica, Pentax (Takumars), Minolta.
3 Weeks ago I got one of these gems more or less accidently. I bought a two cameras together with 5 lenses. I was after the 57mm 1.4 and did not mention the 28mil f1.8 when I bought it. It was was not clear what lens it was from the photo, but it was a good deal anyway. When I opened up the box I found this lens and I was really happy as you can think. It is a fantastic lens! When I use it on a A7R with adapter you have a minimum distance of 8cm! I can not wait to shoot more pictures with it. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
