finally someone did it and successfully put a sensor inside an old analogue camera! He chose one of the smallest manual fixed lens rangefinders out there, the Konica Auto S3 that sports a fantastic 1.8/38mm lens, and installed the electronics of a NEX5 in a newly 3D printed back for it:
