I am fond of Kodak Ektar slides , such a well balanced superb film. I do love KOdak D-76 developer, it has long self life , produce very nice images with any type of film and best of it I can develop Ilford, Foma, Agfa APX in same tank same time, don't need to use different develop time.

Since I'm just now getting into film I think I'll only buy Kodak film to give them my support. I really hope they end their bankruptcy.

Good move, hopefully you will have many followers. I buy Kodak chemicals like D-76.

I love Ektar, Gold and Bw400CN, so I hope the film division survives.

well it sounds almost same, but it isn´t same, so it would be nice to be clear in terms.) I am aware of the differences, but some newbie can be confused. anyway, I thought that Ektachrome was discontinued???

All Kodak transparency films are deceased.

The only Kodak film I shoot now is Tri-X in 120. Pretty good at ISO 200 in Kodak's Xtol!

My main film is Fuji Across 120. Sublime stuff!

oh yes, Kodak Tri-X is the second best film in the world, just below Double-X. and I mean it:)

try to search for unused stock from moviemakers, it is almost impossible to buy it in reasonable amount by yourself - by reasonable I mean less than hundreds meters Smile I can ask here in Prague if you´re interested, but the international shipping from here is pretty expensive Sad

PostPosted: Mon Jan 07, 2013 9:37 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Please ask, I think shipping cost is less part vs hundred of meters film Wink

I wish Bw400CN wasn't so expensive. I want to try it. I purchased the other B/W film kodak has to see how well it performs.

it is true. I fortunately use Fuji slides, but they are also cutting the line - Astia, Sensia and T64 were discontinued some time ago. Only Velvia and Provia are available now. But I hope and believe at least my favourite Velvia will last at least few years on market.

I no longer shoot 35mm film, only 120. No Double-X in 120 format, right?
The black and white film I miss is Neopan 400.

For me, best black and white film is Fuji Acros.
Laughing

unfortunately not, Double-X can be had only in 16mm and 35mm cine spools:

http://motion.kodak.com/motion/products/production/Black_And_White_Films/5222.htm

in 120 format I happily use Tri-X

for me Acros is 3rd Very Happy but the main reason is that I ussualy need faster film

Most remarkable film was to me Rollei Retro 80 and Fomapan 100 first due exactly what I like best, second due price/performance ratio.
Currently I have 28 rolls 35mm Across (Legacy Pro) and seems Double-X comming Laughing Laughing on 120mm I think I will use mostly Foma.

Kram, you MIGHT be able to special-order 120 spools from Kodak. Kodak has always taken and completed special orders. Now, would it be financially viable? Probably not.
