Wow. Shocked

Kudos to you, the photographer, and to your model, Anna. Is there some chemistry going on (and no, I don't mean film developing chemicals Wink)

After viewing this superb set I feel bad about the discontinuation of Kodachrome... Crying or Very sad

Thanks friends!
Erm, no chemicals, no, she's like the K14 process for me, very far away and just a good friend Smile

Indeed it's sad, it's the only Kodak slide film I do really like. Crying or Very sad

wow! that's great slides, superb model and dream lenses
difficult to scan all the dynamic range, it must be a pleasure on the light table

Thank you Poilu!
It's a pleasure to see them on the light table and it's a pain to see them after digitalizing. The (now digital) images are still far away from what I've seen on the light table. Crying or Very sad
Light temperature is now 5100k for the light source, which seems to be perfect for Kodak & Fuji slides. But I need a bigger/stronger diffusor.
I'm still fighting with this, trying to avoid a Coolscan. Smile

I forgot to ask you, how do you feel, still painful or better?

PostPosted: Mon May 03, 2010 4:27 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Much better, thank you very much! Still in plaster but that's okay, the first day was the worst. Wink

Good news about the Coolscan, Nikon does not support any x64 OS for the Coolscans. This way I can concentrate much better on the 5D+bellow system Wink

Looks like you are having a good time with it... errrr them. Smile

I shoot a lot of slides in the 80s, mostly C41 in 90s (while shying away fr pphotography) and in 2Ks a combination of both, BW and mostly digital nowadays. But I have never really shoot Kodakchromes. Looking at these, I should have use more.

Nice job.

I find them perfect.
Great lenses, great model, great film, but most of all, a great photographer, with a true taste for aesthetics.
#1 and #4 are masterpieces for me. I could look at them forever.

I must join in the "wow" Smile

Thanks! Smile
#1 is my absoulte favourite too, it was the first mounted slide I looked at when the box arrived from Kodak. All I could say was "wow, K25!" Smile

I'm so glad that I shot with film that day.

Sandy you might personally miss the RD1 but we don't seem to be missing your fabulous production Smile
These images are lovely. Anna must be really happy with them.
I like number one. She is especially engaged with the viewer here.

Technically they are all perect exposures. Kchrome likes you !

I like that the poses are modest; much more mystery that way, and much more attention to the beautiful planes of Ana's face. I especially like the first tree photo. It is tough to handle shadows well, and you did so ...

Thanks Andy, Fish & Ron!
I was not sure how the tree shots will turn out, very contrasty scene, I set exposure between +1/3 and +2/3.

Btw. Andy, I have problems with my R-D1 and the customs in California, I will write a post later in the Café Crying or Very sad
