my K adapter arrived and its a nice bright morning so a test for the kiron....well it confirmed that i can not hand hold longish lenses on a nex c3 as good as a DSLR,i have many sharp shots at 200mm with my 5D and 80-200 f2.8L much less then 100th of a sec..i think it helps when a DSLR is stuck to your face using the viewfinder ..so maybe a nex 6 or 7 is better in this respect
i also had problems nailing the focus even though i zoom in with focus assist.. so i need to do more testing to rule out user error,as as it is if a photo is a bit soft it my be my fault
just found some info

This photo of 1 of my cats was at 200mm wide open at F4 no editing apart from a lift in brightness as the nex is often fooled when have bright parts in a scene

and the crop

Title edited - it was "fist thoughts" - didn't make any sens. Himself ......oh yes my English is bad.......i am English too ...not think of an excuse as yet .

I wouldn't mind seeing more samples. This photo looks good.

That's pretty impressive image quality from an old zoom! Any idea if versions in other lens mounts are optically identical or not? I see a few on ebay in OM-mount.

i don't see why they should be different ...so far i see reference to a 80-200 f4.5 (mine is F4) and also a 70-210 F4 some with a zoom lock
i find a AP test here for the 70-210 and 3 others http://www.zen65104.zen.co.uk/boggys_pics/lens%20tests/AmPhotog_Kiron_Quartet_Lenses_Tests_04Dec82_300dpi.pdf
