Quite a special bokeh it has... shot fully open

So Asian and European style can be done with it Wink

I'll do more with it...

The double circles in the OOF at full open is a unique feature of this lens. Stop down this lens become very sharp. These are the reasons why u Asian and European style can be done with this lens.

A more technical note, the behavior may by tamed by stopping down a bit:

Wonder how often in my life I have said that - in vain Embarassed

Interesting samples, curious bokeh. I cannot tell if I like it or not, the shape is nice but it seems to me too agressive.
However the lens seems to be really sharp, and render well the both the soft and intense tones.
Definitely I like it.

Thanks Jes, indeed that is a bokeh surely not to see to much and too often.
But stopped down just one stop and it gets more pleasing and also the glow
gets a bit reduced. Still this lens has painterly qualities which in the right
hands certainly can deliver quite nice results.

Wow, looking at those photos was quite an experience! If I can I will buy that lens.
I don't think that should considered LBA, because this lens is really different!
Thank you for sharing these photos.

Really enjoyed it Klaus, you always seem to have a supprise on your hand. I have never seen a bokeh like that, wow! Surprised
I really wonder what could make the bokeh like this Question

I enjoyed the series a lot, the lens look really good.
I guess it requires some experience to tame that bokeh and put it at good use.
Thanks for sharing.

Dreamy and delicious, but really needs taming.
