I'm relatively new to the forum and I've made only a few small contributions so far. I've been taking photographs for about a year using a Nikon D40x with kit lens (18-55 not VR) together with a longer zoom (55-200 VR). About 2 months ago I decided to buy a new AF lens. I couldn't decide what to buy and I ended up buying a handful of Russian and DDR glass. I'm now trying to make use of my new equipment. First attempts involve a (non-scientific) comparison of the J11A and the CZJ.

My first efforts will involve an attempt to upload a picture here for the first time. If that works I'll add a few more.

Nikon D40x, mechanical (no glass) adapter and J11A or CZJ. Raw capture with adjustment to colour temperature and small adjustments to levels and saturation.

1. J11A f4

I see no significant difference, this was my previous experience too. Both are very nice lenses. Great samples! Many thanks for sharing this test!

To my eyes the J11 has more apparent contrast but doesn't out resolve the CZJ. Both look like excellent lenses.
