Following on from my previous thread, here are some photos taken with my Canon 20D and various manual lenses. I only took a few lenses to Japan... my Zenitar 16mm f/2.8, Contax Planar 50mm f/1.7 T* and Pentacon 135mm f/2.8. I took my 20D out with me often but I only ever took one lens at a time.
"Rush" - Zenitar
"Yoyogi" - Zenitar
"Rainbow Dusk" - Zenitar
"Acer Green" - Contax Planar
"Acer Red" - Contax Planar
"Fuji-San Catch" - Zenitar
"Out of the Barrel" - Zenitar

Hi-tech and fast, but at once ancient and peaceful. Nice series. I want to go... _________________ Film... and sometimes SD14, 5D2 and some other suff! |

A very different view of Japan than with the Rollei. Perhaps a case of style following function: a modern digital camera encourages a different sort of shooting. _________________ -Jussi

Lovely photos.
Did you crop? Isn't the Zenitar a fish? Interesting seems like there is no distortion. _________________

Thank you for the kind comments.

I am careful when using the Zenitar, composing so that the effect is not so pronounced. I do occasionally use a little 'de-fishing' for architectural shots. For landscape shots I centre the horizon and it's almost impossible to detect the distortion, the photograph of Mount Fuji for example has not had any distortion correction. |
