After seeing the threads from the 40D and the A700, I think that I should show you some pics from my ex-30D at 3200 ISO for you to compare.

They are all taken in a friend of mine concert, under a really bad lighting, so it's kind of a "tour de force" for the camera. I must confess than I took them with an AF lens (Canon 50 f1,4) and applied some Unshap Mask in Photoshop. Could you forgive me? Razz

I must say that I printed a couple of them in A3+ and the noise is visible but not disturbing at all.

Can you test about same environment than Lahnet tested it ? I mean inside in a building at normal light.

That's pretty good, imo. Sure, some noise is there, but it's certainly not a mess - quite usable results from a hostile environment.

I am afraid that it won't be possible. I sold the camera this weekend.

But I will look in my archives for other ISO 3200 pictures that could match Lahnet's. Very Happy

superb Juanma! 3200 iso on the 30D printed to A3+ is a nice performance

Well, in this case light was below normal, but much better and constant than in the concert.

Other difference is that these are ISO 1600 instead of ISO 3200, but you know, on most Canon ISO 3200 is a fake, it's just ISO 1600 pushed 1 stop.

These samples are very, very good. Usable on 1600 ISO perfectly! Thank you!

I managed to find some extra samples. These are taken at ISO 3200 by mistake. Razz

That's a very nice village in the center of Spain, 700 km away from here.
