HI

This version of the ISCO Westron 35/2.8 suffers from a very tight aperture ring. It's made of plastic. Anyone knwos how to remove it?

Here is a pic of the lens with the aperture ring marked with the green arrow

I've managed to remove the name plate easily by using a rubber stopper

Inside are 4 screws that hold the focusing ring to the focusing helicoid. I removed two and slided the focus ring out

I can see a retaining ring, marked with the red arrows. I tried to turn it with a lens spanner, it turns 1 CM and is then stuck. I've tried to turn it with a lot of strength but it won't turn anymore. Should I use brute force?

This is where I got stuck. How do I get to the aperture ring?

There is nothing at the back of the lens to unscrew
