My son recently purchased an Isco Gottingen Isconar 4.5/100 with frozen focus and extreme fungus.
He cleaned it and restored it to usability.
What a sweet little lens - matches the Fujifilm X-E1 perfectly.
He let me borrow it today and I took a few images in the backyard.
I am impressed

Was that one recently on ebay for a very good price? Do I detect some bubbles in those images... Laughing Cool

I do believe so Mo.
I think he got very lucky. Of course, he is a dab hand at repairing things so loves a challenge.
Good job I think.

Those are excellent!

I have the Isconar 100mm f/4, and never used it yet.... it's about time i guess!

Thank you for the kind words.
The lens is so simple in construction - a triplet.
I watched my son cleaning it and saw it dis-assembled.
Amazing how good a simple triplet can be.

I looked at it a few times, but have a few other lenses so I let it go. Laughing He did a good job cleaning it, and you did a good job using it.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
Yes, the backyard is always an interesting place - I just have to chase the light.
I read somewhere that Isco lenses were Schneider's second string products.
In this case I have to disagree - it is a first class lens.

Been having a play with this lens of late and it is just wonderful.
Yeah it's slow but it's light and quick to focus and just a gem.
Bit of fringing open but these are 5.6
