Yes - for sure. Also coated with a dangerous paint which triggers skin allergies and causes the growth of hair on the palms of the hands
Actually, it's the first one I've noticed with the focal length in cm rather mm . . . but then maybe I've not been paying enough attention to EL Nikkors on eBay . . . _________________ Stephen

This is no joke If you even look at this lens you will eventually DIE! The world as you know it will end one day and it will be your fault, just because of this bloody lens, possibly.
So, now you know.

As long as you handle it with gloves, it should be ok. |

The only thing untouchable about that lens is the price. Mine's cost me 6 GBP. Sadly ah didn't heed the warnings and am typing this with my nose (what's left of it). In order tae test it, ah taped it tae my eye for 2 months, and now have one blue eye and one red eye... |

You could try to repair the red eye color by exposing it for a week to strong UV light . |

Most oldies are, due to the glass formula and/or the coating. That's also the reason it was way easier to get glass with very good optical properties (thorium and others in the mix). So the answer is probably yes.
Radioactivity was unfortunately not a big deal before (cream, water, watches etc..), hopefully it is today:

Fortunately for the users of these health and beauty products, like modern equivalents, they probably contained so little of the "active" ingredients that they did virtually nothing one way or the other! |
