You might know about this database but I just found it.

I identified a 135mm lens I have as coming from 1957. Cool.

Yep, nice resource, I even found my Ultra Achromatic Takumars there.

It's my understanding and experience that all Taks are bottom line, good to excellent. The Super Taks and the SMCs having a taste more contrast and are less flare prone. I have a SuperTak 28 and a Tak 135. The 28 is sharp almost to the point of harshness. The 135 is less contrasty but it goes with me everywhere and some of my personal favorite shots have been done with the 135. They are all keepers, IMO.
