Does anyone have any experience with this lens that I just won on eBay?...It's a Tamron 28-80mm that the seller says is F3.5, however I suspect it's a variable aperture of 3.5/4.2...From what I counld find Googling it, It appears that it may be a Adaptall lens although the seller says it doesn't say so...I hope to use it on my Nikon D70s, but I see it has a soldid pawl (prong) which normally indicates Pre Ai on Nikkor lenses...antone have any info based on the link?

You got a great bargain.
It's the Adaptall 2 SP lens.
It is one of my favourites and I should expect a lot from it.
Performance is excellent through the whole zoom range and at all apertures. If you go to the adaptall site you will see the fantastic resolution figures for this lens and I can confirm they are true.
It is a zoom lens that thinks it’s a good prime.
IMO one of the best lenses in this zoom range ever made.

On the adaptall front the AI mounts with prongs still had solid prongs.
