Today I received a Vivitar macro focusing 2x TC
I've done some tests with my Nikkor lenses but best results have been made with Nikkor 50/1.4 making it a 100/2.8 with 1:1 macro
This is one incredible TC, sadly it works best only with a 50mm lens

so here are the results
enjoy!

#1 50/1.4 @f2

#2 50/1.4 - 4 photos @ f4

#3 50/1.4 + MF 2xTC @ f2.8 (f5.6) - macro 1:1

#4 50/1.4 + MF 2xTC @ f4 (f8 ) - macro 1:1

#5 50/1.4 + MF 2xTC @ f4 (f8 ) - macro 1:1

#6 50/1.4 + MF 2xTC @ f2 (f4)

#7 50/1.4 + MF 2xTC @ f1.4!!! (f2.8 )

#8 50/1.4 + MF 2xTC @ f4 (f8 ) - macro 1:5

#9 50/1.4 + MF 2xTC @ f2.8 (f5.6) / strong PP that's why there's so much noise

#10 My youngest son Luka - 50/1.4 + MF 2xTC @ f2 (f4)

Hi Roman.
Congrats for your new toy.
It seems very contrasty and sharp. Smile

I was surprised how well it works with 50/1.4 especially wide open and here's the weird part... 50/1.4 is sharper with this TC wide open (100/2.8 ) than without Confused

Interesting.
I found the same using a Tamron SP doubler with Tamron SP 24-48mm.
Sometimes, it's like the association brings clarity ! (like human beeings... Smile )

Jeez Louize! 1,2, 4, 5, 9 are what I aspire to. Fantastic.
And #10, damn, I have to wait for grandkids now... Wink

ps. I found something similar with a Takumar 50/1.4 -> extension tube -> 2x Vivitar doubler. The combo in that order, though you might not think it, just worked.
