|
|
Guess what, I've got two new rangefinders in eBay...
One is a Voigtlander Vitoret. I know it's not the best camera in the world, but It was my second camera, and for nostalgic reasons, when I saw it at 9€ I put my bid on it. No one else overbid me, so I'll be remembering my childhood and comparing what I was able to do then and what I can do now (perhaps not too much progress anyway ). I keep some printed pictures I took with the old Vitoret, but I don't keep the negatives, a pity!.
The second one was a Yashica Minister D. I saw it was sold "with a hood and case", and I was looking for a hood for my other Yashicas, so I did bid. The same happened, no one else was interested in it, so I got it.
This adds two to my homework on rangefinders.
Yesterday I was out trying the Yashica Lynx. It came out hanging from my neck all the day. At night at home I noticed the Yashica label in the front side was lost... Maybe the Minister will provide the replacemet label for the Lynx and the hood... Or maybe is good enough to have it's own life as a picture taker....
Best regards,

Where do you buy the pizza?
Here for 10 Euros you can almost have two - and this is not a cheap place to live.
Jes I would like to see the Voigtlaender. _________________ _

Orio, pizzas here are also in between 8,5 and 12€...
I haven't received the voigtlander yet, here you have the ad image:
It's a simple camera, only three shutter speeds. I need to touch it before being sure is the same I owned in the past. There were some other Voigtlander vitorettes in the product line as I've found now...
Click here to see on Ebay
Let me look for old pictures. I recall one of myself with that camera. Don't know if I would be able of finding it.
Best regards.

Here a simple Margherita costs 5 Euros. When you add food on it, it costs 6 or 6,5 Euros depending on the food .

Probably a nice show in a caravan, (if I buy another single camera or lens, my wife will kill me...)
No much room in a 56 sq meters flat...

Better get the caravan now for storage. You have the same rangefinder disease as I have. I can tell you an angry wife will not cure it. |

| BTW, the Minister I also have it is a nice little shooter. Mine had a stuck shutter when I got it.I little drop of lighter fluid cured it. Getting at the shutter is similar to the GSN. Matt Denton has a nice photo tutorial to do this. Hopefully you have a good shutter and will not need it. |

Thanks Andy!

I hope to finish this week the roll in the Lynx. Nice camera that one. The shutter trigger is so soft and the camera solid constuction makes me feel like the pictures will be steady and not bowed to the right as it is usual for me with the light digitals...
Best regards,

Richard, is this because you tilt the camera as you push the button? I used to do that years ago, and I was totally cured when I was taught how to shoot a rifle properly for target shooting. It's not easy to explain, but you have to concentrate your energy on keeping the rifle (camera) still and applying only a very gentle squeeze on the trigger (shutter button). The fault usually comes from putting too much energy into pushing the button (and not keeping your arms locked), which is why I much prefer light ones. Think squeeze, not push. _________________ Lenses: M42 - CZJ 2.8/20, 2.4/35, 1.8/50, 2.8/50, 3.5/135 - Meyer/Pentacon 1.8/50, 2.8/50, 2.8/135, 4/200
