To get the real dramatic look you must use your lense wide open and the focal length should be 50mm or more.

Here is one I took in Cuba.

Canon 5D MKII with Ashi Tak 50 1.4 wide open. About 60 images.

Excellent micro contrast by the Summicron 90.... is it the v2 ?

As far as I know a 2nd version of the Summicron-R 90 did never exist, it was made from the end of the 60ies until it was replaced by the APO in the 90ies. Only the filter thread was changed from S7 to E55.
