I have been using a lovely little Jupiter 8M lately and I really love the results that its rendering produces for my type of photography.
Now I know that there are several different focal lengths that have appeared in sonnar design.
The question occurred to me - how many different lenses used this design?
I do not know.
Perhaps we can start a list.

Well, quite a few come into mind, the 2.5/105mm Nikkor, the famous Pentax f2/58mm...

Here is a well known list of rangefinder Sonnar-type lenses: http://www.antiquecameras.net/sonnarlens.html

How exactly is a Sonnar defined and identified? I have one in mind but I think it's actually an Ernostar or Planar. It does have a focus shift which is a known Sonnar characteristic but perhaps it applies to the other types also?

It's the Minolta 100mm F2 of 1961. They also applied the same formula to their 135mm F2.8.

Hey I'll take two of those #13 85/1.5 Nikkors! Laughing. Were they really that inexpensive in 2009?!

I think this has come up before. Anyway here is a comprehensive discussion of "sonnar" optics. Albeit in Italian.
