Hi colleagues,

I bought this lens in a flea market , thinking it could be Contax/Yashica mount, (but isn't):

The lens is one of those Sigma XQ of the 70's, seems to be good, but I've been unable to find out which mount is it:

Any help in identifying the lens mount will be very welcome.

It looks a bit like Minolta but it isn't. Anyway it is YS interchangeable mount and you can swap it with any other mount you can find.
It is also compatible with T2 mount adapters but you loose aperture coupling.

Thanks Dimitry, it's a nice clue.
I have some T2 adapters so I'll try it if I'm able to figure out how to disassemble the current mount.
I'll post some pictures if I succeed.
Again, thanks!

You just need to unscrew it.

Looks like it has adapter of some sort mounted over original (threaded) mount.

Arrow 1 shows some screw threads appearing beneath the piece.
Arrow 2 shows the piece.
Arrow 3 shows the rim which probably has to be turned to unscrew the piece.

Oh never mind it's just the aperture lifter ring as seen on other pics.
But still you can try to unscrew the adapter.

Many thanks, tonight when I come back home I'll be trying it.

Also if you look just above arrow 3, there is a ring with a polished knob. There should be three screws around the ring. If you loose these screws enough, the whole ring with its mount should come off the lens.

What you see there probably will be a T-mount with a "groove" ring that is screwed on it (it is for those three screws which press against it). If you unscrew it, you should get a clean T-mount.

Seems to me like T2 + M42 + something (Y/C, Minolta)

Looks like T2 to Minolta SR adapter.

Well, this is the lens with the mount unscrewed:

So finally is a Sigma XQ lens with YS mount and the strange adapter...

I've tested it with a T2-C/Y mount. The only problem (as expected) is the aperture pin not being pressed, so by now it will be used wide open untiil I find a suitable solution.

Some test shots wide open:

Thanks for your help.
Jes.

You can unscrew Y/C adapter from separated part and you will find genuine T2/M42 adapter beneath.

Thanks, it looked to me like a single piece, but I'll try that Smile

It's T2 but the other mount is not Y/C nor Minolta MD (tried it).

First screw mount is T2 for sure, will try the Rolley mount, I've got a Rollei SL35 with no lens at all Smile
