The aperture lever of my Contax Zeiss 85/1.4 AEG became disengaged from the spring-loaded hook of the adjustment mechanism. To fix it, I opened the lens up and now I have trouble putting it back together.

I unscrewed the 3 screws holding the focus tube and am left with the brass helicoid, a metal ring/clasp, and the focus tube. See attached pics.

Anyone with experience care to tell me what to do? I think I know where everything is supposed to go, but I can't figure out the sequence. What to do first? When I'm screwing the base of the lens back onto the helicoid, how can I also manage to hook the aperture lever back?

Even some verbal sequential instructions would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

I managed to put it back together by rotating the focus tube with the two brass bars positioned correctly to enter two holes at the base of the lens. It was necessary to loosen and retighten the screws on the focus tube once to complete the process.

Sometimes it takes a bit of messing around, trial and error, and a LOT of patience. Laughing Glad you fixed it.
