Hello , I had recently picked up a Meyer Primoplan 58mm f1.9 lens in exakta mount with stiff focussing.I had assumed that the focus ring can be fixed after servicing ,but alas it is still stuck. So maybe anyone experienced with this lens can help me out.? The aperture works completely fine. The focussing ring does not move at all. It is Completely stuck.I tried opening the lens too ,But couldnt figure out the problem.I am attaching the pictures of the lens. Please someone help me out as i am very keen on using this lens on my canon 550D. Smile

Could you kindly clarify, please:

Was the servicing technician able to separate the helical, or not?

If not, did he offer you counsel as to why he thought the helical is frozen or stiff?

You see normally, in a stiff focus situation, the procedure would be to separate helical, clean helical thoroughly, lube helical with fresh lubricant, reassemble helical.

He told me he wasnt able to seperate the lens from the helicoid.
