I recently cleaned my Canon FD 28mm f3.5, however when I tried to reassembly it, the spring pops out. I couldnt remember where was it attached, so I hope you guys could guide me or give photos so I know where to put the springs back.

Can you please confirm the lens model? The picture seems to show a New FD lens mount but I was not aware there is a New FD 28mm 1:3.5 lens.

In general, both the levers protruding from the back are spring-loaded. Given the mount is unlocked and the aperture ring is set to the "A" position then the (larger) aperture lever should be pulled clockwise towards the "full aperture" position and the (smaller) aperture signal lever should be pulled counter-clockwise towards the "smallest aperture value" position by the springs (viewed from the rear of the lens).
