Lately when I mount this lens to my Nikon D7000 and turn aperture ring, camera refuses to register change in aperture so it's stuck at f2 all the time.

What could be wrong?

Thank You

Hello!

I just got a Helios-81N lens, and I have the same problem.

Nikkor lenses have a raised ridge along the aperture ring that mates with a tab on the camera´s mount, so rotating the aperture ring moves the tab on the camera body to indicate the aperture setting.

My Ukrainian made Arsat N 50/1.4 lens also have this raised ridge, but the Helios hasn´t. There´s only a notch in the edge of aperture ring, which should mate with the tab on camera body.

I´ll try glueing a strip of plastic to the aperture ring to get this raised ridge.
