Your 9741_1 looks very good - great work on the swirly bokeh!

Oh, the "signature" drawing of the Helios can be seen quite well in your photos, Yan .

Got myself a red "n", 13 blade early (all zeros and 891... 891st lens produced!) version silver Helios 44 ...

Love it! focuses to infinity with an M39->M42 ring adapter and an M42->EOS adapter.

Got it today, but didn't have much time to test it outside... so here are some indoors test shots, exploiting the shallow DOF you can get with this lens.

MFD, focus on the head:

~65cm, focus on the yellow thread:

~1.5 meters, focus on 2nd charger from the right:

~ 6 meters, focus on the glass part of the lamp in the middle:

At infinity:

And last but not least, a person...

All of these are shot on my Lumix GF3, I am new to this. I have a few manual lenses - Soligor 300mm, Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm and a Helios 70-210mm but the Helios is my favourite. It is more industrial and not the prettiest but to my eyes the results from it are good.

Here pics from on of my very first tries with manual lenses back in 2011
This lens infected me with the manual focus lenses virus
I paid ~12€ for the lens if I remember correctly
All wide open!

Laughing

I'm sorry but I have got to laugh at that.

For me it was the same albeit I would still be considered a fresh victim. I have it so bad that I want to buy a NEX 3N now and am saving. Solely for the purpose of being able to use old manual focus lenses.

I would like to have friends that can handle manual focus like yours Very Happy . Everytime people take my Nex, the first question is "where is the zoom?" then "why is it blurry?" Sad

Nice photo
