Initially, this is what can be seen when closed at f8. Not very sexy...

Cheers,

Thank you all for your kind comments. Smile

If I wanted to frame #2, what would be your advice ? What kind of framing, colours, with which software ?
I would call it "The Salute".

Cheers,

#2 as well for me,Have you got a software program that can add boarders, to see what different frames/mounts may look like?

Thanx a lot for your kind words. Smile

Hi Moïra.
Nice to read you. Wink
I have Border Maker, Lightroom, Paintshop Pro.
Which one is the best and what rules do apply for framing I don't know... Confused

I have no idea...I am not good at any computer programs...Rolf may know as I have seen his images + frames for posting images here.Do you know what software he uses?

Do you have a framing shop near by?

Thank you Mo. Smile
Any news from Rolf ?
I have framing shop at 25 km from home, and a do-it-yourself store at 5 minutes.

Confused No, I have not seen a post from him for awhile...but I have not been on a lot lately.
I would go have a look at what colour frames and mounting card they match with what colour image/painting,to get a few ideas of what to choose.

#2 is an excellent shot in my opinion. The bokeh makes it look like a painting.

Framing attempt using free Helicon Filter software.

What do you think about it ?

PostPosted: Tue Dec 06, 2011 3:21 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

The white is too harsh it does nothing to bring out your wonderful image...try a thin white boarder and maybe a gold or one of the colors from the image itself as a frame choice. I have not used software to try this and don't know how difficult any suggestions may be to try out. Smile

I like it better, what do you think? ....Just a thought possibly add another boarder of black on the outside or the inside of the white?
Come on you guys who are reading this any other opinions out there?...help us out... Very Happy Wink

Yes, you're right, Moïra, a thin black line outside the white one would add some depth. Issue is that Helicon filter don't manage several boarders. I'll try to add it in PaintShopPro.
I like the right one better than the left one.

I like the second one with thin white line but I would prefer I guess with only one plain colour (light brown) and not with "degraded" colour to keep it simple as possible! The most important must be the picture itself and not the frame but that's only my point of view of course Smile .....
