Two minor miracles - the sun shone today in Oregon (actually a major miracle) and I wandered into a pawn shop, and came out with a NEW MD fit, Tokina AT-X 2.5 90mm macro, in original two part case, with all interior fittings as manufactured, and the 1.1 extension, for... 50 dollars.
I am well pleased, as I only recently picked up a Series 1 Vivitar 90mm Macro for my FD bodies, (37XXXX so Tokina?) also for peanuts...
I also bought a bit of a job lot on e-bay last week. This arrived today. A fitted case in which I found: A Minolta XD-11 in excellent condition, and 'some bits and bobs' which turned out to be another Series 1 Vivitar 70-210mm (serial 22xxxx so Kiron?) an immaculate motor winder, a very good 28mm 2.4 MD Rokkor, and a 50mm 1.4 Rokkor - all for 70 bucks inc shipping.. Oh there was also an 'old' new Minolta Flash, and 11 49mm filters including UV, Haze, 2 Polarizing and.... So I am happy today!
Now to try them out! lol _________________ Lenses and cameras:

37xxx was indeed supposed to be Tokina, and 22xxx Kiron. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

I will get out the (digital !!) camera tomorrow and take some photo's of the loot... Since I posted I found another compartment beneath that where the camera was sitting, in which was:
One short cable release
One long cable release
XD-11 Manual (as new!)
Colourful canvas and leather 'hippy' strap
Two metal 49mm screw-in lens caps
I forgot to mention the outfit also came with a bit battered but very serviceable Velbon tripod attached my straps to the main camera bag... lol

I have been unable to take any pictures of my new treasure as I sent the X-700 back. It was immaculate in its cosmetics, and its meter was great - but the film advance / shutter had failed.
This camera looked and felt new, but they do have a weakness for capacitors, there are two, one under the top plate and one under the bottom. The latter is a 5 minute job, the former is a nightmare of fiddle with every chance of screwing the thing up as most of the electronics have to be gently prized apart..
So, back it went. this took a day's aggravation on e-bay and then next day - no sun... so pictures will have to wait as I want to do the stuff justice..
I have acquired another X-700 which I am awaiting, and also a Contaflex 126 so that Laurence does not have all the fun here in the Northwest... lol _________________ Lenses and cameras:
