Apple is finally throwing in the towel and discontinuing Aperture. Did anyone here actually use it? Of course Adobe is rushing in to help convert to Lightroom - they are so generous! I am very pleased to be a Capture 1 user

Yep i loved aperture a really great application and i am sad that they will replace it with photos, a more simplistic program made for mobile and tablets

"a more simplistic program made for mobile and tablets"

I think it's way too early to be describing it as that yet. There are many things it will do that Aperture cannot - like giving plug-ins direct access to the RAW processing pipeline (so no more TIFF to Nik/DXO/etc and back), searching via image keyword in any app via Spotlight, etc.
