How safe is a camera that had a lens covered in fungus attached to it for a long period of time. My Pentax ME came in today but the two lenses that came with the camera and the filter were covered with fungus. I don't know if the camera's ok or not, Im kind of scarred to use my lenses on the camera. Do you think should I try getting my money back or what?

Please do your self a favor. Send it back if you can. Fungus is a sign of poor storage and treatment. The ME is a common camera. Just find another. Wink

I agree. Fungus does not come that easily as long as gear is stored somewhat correctly.
If there was a fungused lens on a cam for a while, chances are high that some spawn has been transferred. And fungus will find enough glass inside a cam to grow...
