Interesting list, but f/0.38 is impossible in air. The fastest possible in air is f/0.50

Indeed, often I see people confuse f-stops with NA (num. aperture), the latter often being used for scientific lenses.
Here Click here to see on Ebay is such a "specialist" trying to pump up his auction (using GIGANTAR in his auction title)
although it is at best a f3 lens... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerical_aperture#Numerical_aperture_versus_f-number

Well, the Super-Q Gigantar was a joke.

I suggest using Google to find Sill Optics' site, going to it, and reading their catalog.

This is stupid, hack a NEX so you can put on a huge lens that produces really soft crappy pictures.

Honestly, the mind boggles at the stupidity of things like this.

That wolf fellow on the other forum claims:

Quote:
500 line pairs per milimeter at f0.7
800 lp/mm at f/1.0

That sounds like bovine fecal matter to me, and the sample pics look more like 5 lp/mm:

Indeed, their site proves the above listing info as totally misleading, the Correctal TD 100/0.16 designation (p/n S5LPJ7000) denotes a combination of 100mm max. object size (@16mm max. line length) & 0.16 magnification.
