SOLD: KONICA HEXANON AR 57mm F1.2 + original hood

This is the last version with the green AE mark of the Hexanon 57/1.2 lens. The lens has been slightly modified for better bokeh. Originally the lens has an obstruction that "cuts" of a part of the rear element at wide open aperture. This results in clipped out of focus highlights. This part has been removed on this lens, resulting in round out of focus highlights. This is illustrated in the picture showing the back of two identical lenses, the only difference being that the lens on the left is the modified one.

The modification means that the lens can't be used on Konica film cameras anymore since the part that has been removed has been lost. This has no practical meaning today as the lens will most probably be used on mirrorless cameras with adapters.

I have included an incredibly rare original metal hood for this lens. Unfortunately the edge of the hood has been bent but the hood is still usable and I think it can be restored to nice condition. This lens hood has not been on this lens when the damage happened. The lens is perfectly ok, no misaligned lens elements or anything of that nature!

Condition:
- Very nice, some silvering, a few nicks and a couple of scratches.
- No fungus
- Clean and snappy aperture blades
- Mechanically nice and tight, smooth focus.
- Lenses and coatings ok, very little dust inside. What looks like a short scratch on the fromt lens is a piece of dust on the inside of the front element. This does not affect the image quality in any way.
