Glass excellent, no fungus, snappy aperture. Tripod mount still attached.
Bodt shows some wear, with a quite a bit of wear to exterior of lenshood.
Complete with both caps.
£75 + shipping
(boiler needs replacing so need funds... ) _________________ Richard

I think you will like this lens very much. My Air Show photos were taken with a 4.5/300 and I found them to be sharp. _________________ Michael Hill

The lens arrived today! A quick test shot, monopd mounted, f8, 1/640s:
Richard had kindly tucked a diminutive Nikon 50mm f/1.8 E series lens into the parcel, so here is a test shot from that too (which shows where the 30mm was aimed at):

I had several copy from this lens all of them were excellent, congrats for your new gem! I am pretty sure you will love it really. I sold them because sometimes need to earn money, but I will buy over and over again, great lens! _________________

OK this one is just for s&g - to 'see what happens'. Result is not really usable (check the full size version and look in the top right at the out of focus chimney stacks). Focus was on the wire mesh guy-roped thingy in the foreground. The wood siding is already softening in focus here.
Nikon D40, Nikkor 300mm f/4.5 plus Vivitar MC 2x teleconverter (pre-AI) @ ISO 200, f/5.6 (on lens, so effectively f/11) 1/200s. Monopod.

TC highly degrade image quality in my opinion especially on long lenses. _________________
