Hi everyone,

What do you think, which of these works better, and why? What's wrong with them? Planar 1.4/85 MM.

With which camera? Seems to be out of focus to me,

Busy background and not close enough.

I understand why people like a wide aperture lens, but for close up or macro the shallow DOF is as thin as paper. Sop down a bit and the bokeh will improve too.

RTS III. I think the focus is right, from all I can tell, maybe the scanning (automatic, no manual intervention) is the culprit here.
