How many different versions of these third party 135/1.8 lenses exist?
And who actually produced them?
I only know the Porst one. _________________ Best wishes, Wieland

Let's see.
There is the Porst aka Weltblick aka Apollo aka Formula 5, the Spiratone aka Raynox aka Samigon aka Javelin and the Sigmatel. If my memory serves me right, there is also a Zenit one. A Sigma also exists, probably the same as the Sigmatel. The Vivitar and the Soligor are said to be the same as the Spiratone, but I have never seen them.
There are some more floating around (e.g. Mitake and Rokunar) of which I have never even seen pictures, but I guess they are identical to either the Porst or the Spiratone.
Apart from the Sonnar and the Pentax, these are all the 135/1.8 I am aware of.
Additions or corrections, anyone? |

Alright, thanks, looks identical to the Spiratone and the rest of that bunch. 82mm filter thread and YS-mount.
Really cute lens hood, by the way |

A few parts is a little different, but it looks almost like my Spiratone
I'll promise to post some pictures of the lens with samples soon! I has just been so hectic during daytime since I got it _________________ Lars | Lens collection | Manuellfokus.no |

| I have the Sigmatel (yes, "Sigmatel", not "Sigma") Multi Scalmatic 135mm f1.8 and on examination it has a sigma symbol next to the serial number (74040032) so it is made by Sigma. |
I always find this lens really beatiful esthetically, good to see it on a SD14 ...all Sigma
I like to ask you, the eyecup for the SD14 you have, is from?
I've to choose and buy one. |
Its a Pentax rubber eyecup I bought in Jessops...Dont know if they still sell them anymore though as they have downsized their business by closing many stores and reducing the items they stock, due to the recession.
You should be able to get one at any good camera shop though. The price was about £8 if I recall correctly. |

I always sharpen up for web when resizing the pictures in PS and I adjusted the white balance.
Here is 100% with no sharpening

I've also seen lenses that look similar to the Spiratone with Rexatar and 5-star labels. _________________ Michael

I guess both sharpness and fringing is better stopped down, I just have to wait for my YS to m42 adapter
The squirel is taken with a Sigmatel and not this Spiratone, I am not sure if it has the same optical design. _________________ Lars | Lens collection | Manuellfokus.no |
