FED 50mm 3.5 (coated) + Sigma fp

Unexpectedly good!
I've never shot an Elmar 50/3.5. Whether the pictures are comparable, I don't know. Although I understand that the glasses are different, and the lenses are slightly different. But it's interesting to compare Industar-22 - FED-10 and Elmar 50/3.5

I'm clicking the "like" button, I see part of a pop-up screen but nothing happens so maybe I've got to reply: nice effects.
(I bet there's a whole world of snooty Le*c* shooters who think nothing good ever comes of Soviet camera equipment. Thank You Dog You showed 'em)

Thank you, tikkathree! However, I am not a Leica hater. Objectively speaking, Leica lenses are technically better made - both mechanically and optically, especially the pre-war ones. I have a few, but no Elmar 50mm 3.5. But the price.... Leica is 10 or more times more expensive in my country.

Great shots with that pleasing Industar draw. I understand that Elmar and Industar lenses are slightly different formulations, but both being a Tessar type.

My Elmar isn't very sharp, I think the older ones weren't pin sharp at all. I must do a comparison between the Industar 22 & 10 and my Elmar. Perhaps throw in any other collapsible 35s that I have.

But looking at this author's photos I see that this pre-war Elmar (1933) has a much higher resolution than my pre-war FED-10
