Thanks, guys.
I really like that film. Is it Chinese or what?
By the way, the beach sand really was pinkish blue in the fading sun.
More beach pics coming later from a roll of Ferrania 400 - again thanks to Bill.
This little E series 35/2.5 is my Flektogon, I think: close focusing, plenty sharp enough, and a snap to focus on the FE2 even in rthe dark ...

I'm gonna have to look for that Series E lens. The Memories is rebadged
DNP Centuria. DNP bought out Konica's film and paper plants in Japan. Not
bad at all for a cheap color film.

Not bad, my eye. I like it better than Kodak Gold 200 and Fuji 200.

I've never hear of Memories as a film brand... Paul, is there any chance you could take a picture of the cartridge/box, and contribute it to the film cartridge/box gallery?

A buddy of mine in Riverside, CA sends me 10-packs for $16.99. Will probably be my only 200 film, but still want to try Ferrania's 200, too.

Sorry, he won't have the box it came in, I threw those out when I popped
them in the fridge. Next shipment I'll take a pic of the box.

Scheim, the two rolls Bill gave me did not have boxes. The second of the two rolls is in my FED-2d. When I finish that, I'll try to remember to digitize the cartridge. The cartridges are a bright but not offensive pink ...

The film is available in '99cent Only' stores which are in:

California
Arizona
Nevada
Texas

Which means we can't buy it here. Wink These stores look like dollar
stores on steroids, almost big box store proportions. Film goes for guess
what, 99c a roll. Nearest place is Dallas, Paul, I can give you the address. Smile

Paul - Nice shots. The beech ones have in interesting blue hue on the sand. Is that how the film or the scanner records it?

Martin, it is the sand soaking up the color of the rich sky and Gulf of Mexico. My friend Raid from RFF met us at the beach for the evening shoot. He told me the film would capture more of the sunset hues than the human eye because we visiually assume the sand to be near-white, and he was right.

Thank you all for your wonderful compliments ...

Oh yeah, the thong/sandals query:

Thongs are skimpy women's "panties." Shocked
Sandals generally are made of leather and a bit more done up.
Flip-flops is what call simple plastic footwear as seen in the photo.
(When I was a teen, they were called shower thongs for use in public showers before they went mainstream as flip-flops ...) Laughing

Laughing Thong=Australian footwear Jandal= NZ footwear basically what you have on the fence is called either one.NOT those thongs... Rolling Eyes Laughing

Such cheap film doing great results. Fantastic. Also framing, motifs ...but I have to say that I like Fuji Superia 200. Maybe because of luck when I made some fave shots with some rolls? Now I bought colour Agfa 200 expired and cost me 0,60 € for roll. Another country another conditions as well. I should try it out.

Thank you, Stan and Splee.
I like cheap good stuff. I am thankful to Bill for giving me a couple of rolls of Memories to try (the other roll is in my FED).
Bill also got me hooked on Ferrania 400 ... Twisted Evil
